    The practice operating date and design index of the low pressure cylinder of 330MW steam turbine generator was compared for the Ningxia Shizuishan Power Generation Corporation Limited of China Guodian Corporation. Defects of gangway for the low pressure cylinder exhaust system was finded.The modification measure was installed the uniform flow device in the low pressure cylinder exhaust passageway was adopted. The problem of low vacuum of the generation unit was solved.This modification measure have been favorable effects and economic marked beneficial result.

    The boiler MFT accident of the 335 MW unit in a power plant caused by the failure of the power supply of pulverized coal feeder was analyzed in depth.     In a 300 MW steam turbine of a power plant, for shorter time after it was put into operation, some abnormal phenomena, such as oil leakage of hydraulic servomotor mechanism of high pressure regulating valve, the degradation of the oil quality, the jam of servo valve, the decrease of system oil pressure and others, were occurred; and these abnormal phenomena influenced on safe operation of the unit seriously. Based on analysis, it was found that the reason of the abnormal phenomena is dissolving of the seal ring of hydraulic servomotor; and premature aging and failure of the seal ring were caused by the excessive temperature of the cylinder body of the hydraulic servomotor. Some measures, such as adding a cooling block on the hydraulic servomotor and reducing the temperature of the cylinder body of the servomotor, were adopted; and the oil leakage of hydraulic servomotor and degradation of oil quality were solved effectively.

    The steam turbines of units No.1 to No.4 of Huadian International Zouxian Power Plant are 335 MW four cylinders four exhausts units. Some problems exist in unit start, shutdown and operation processes, which include that the cylinder expanded not smoothly, the temperature of individual bearing was too high, the shroud of low pressure rotor last stage blade fractured and so on. The reasons of the faults were analyzed, and concrete countermeasures were proposed.

    Aiming at the fault feature of the nuclear power station, which is that there the hardware failure of the passive system is infrequent and the failure of the physical process occurs more often, based on the definition of the passive system and its main features, the reliability of the passive system was analyzed. Taking the passive residual heat removal system and the containment vessel cooling system as examples, the reliability analysis methods for different passive systems were compared, and the features and the applicability of each method were pointed out. Due to the lack of practical operation data, introduction of the mathematic method is of important significance for reliability analysis of passive system.

    The thermal simulation experiment process of SUMITEN 950-TMCP highstrength steel was introduced. The experiment data were verified. It was clear that the second thermal cycle has the function to improve the toughness of the welded coarse grained region of this type steel. According to this, the necessity to adopt the multiplayer and multipass welding in construction was proposed. Based on material test result, a conclusion was obtained that third time thermal cycle has not obvious function to improve the toughness of the coarse grained region in welded joints of the material.

    Based on Visual Basic programming language, using the second developing language APDL of ANSYS software, the command stream file was created and used in secondary development of ANSYS, and a universal definite element calculating and analyzing program was developed. The parameters can be input in the interface, and the modeling and solving can be accomplished automatically by the program. The result can be seen directly in the program. The function of calling ANSYS to carry out the modal analysis for the constrained layer damping short cylindrical shell under VB interface was realized. After parametric modeling, to modify the parameters is needed only for the modification of the whole model, so the efficiency was improved greatly.

    The rotor of the ultra supercritical steam turbine operates under severe environment with high steam parameters. Especially, when the unit operates under variable condition, such as taking part in peak shaving, a great thermal stress may occur inside material of the rotor, and improper operation will damage the rotor seriously. Taking the HP rotor of 1 000 MW ultra supercritical steam turbine as research object, using the rotor thermal stress analysis theory, according to the site measured data, the various level steam parameters of the HP rotor and the heat transfer coefficient were calculated, and the boundary conditions of finite element calculation of rotor thermal stress were established. Using the software ANSYS, the temperature field and the stress field of the HP rotor during cold startup process and warm startup process were calculated respectively. The thermal stress spectrums of the HP rotor under the two conditions were compared. The results of calculation and analysis can be used as reference for 1 000 MW ultra supercritical turbine set in startup and operation under variable condition.

    Aiming at the PLC sequential control system of thermal power plants, the basic conception and design method of the sequential logic were expounded. Two sequential logic design ideas were listed, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two design ideas were compared. The practical use shows that to adopt the combined method of the step sequence status words with the device control words to complete PLC sequential control system is a more simple and clear sequential logic design method with easy extensibility.

    Using the 30kV·A transformer heat dissipation simulating experiment table, the temperature field distribution of the transformer oil inside the experimental device and the characteristics of the temperature distribution were obtained. The analysis on the results shows that to use the heat pipe in heat dissipation of the transformer is feasible. The model can be used to analyze the temperature characteristics of the transformer oil inside the transformer using the heat pipe for heat dissipation. The result in this paper provides the theoretic basis for design and reformation of the transformer.

    The cold end system is an important auxiliary system of power generation unit of thermal power plant, and its working condition and operational characteristics influence on stability, safety and economical efficiency of the unit greatly. Taking the 300MW unit of a power plant in Inner Mongolia as example, the influence of the back pressure variation on the unit economical efficiency under several typical conditions was analyzed. The influences of the working water temperature variation of the vacuum pump on the air inflow, the condenser pressure, the heat consumption rate and the coal consumption rate of the unit were analyzed emphatically. A reformation measure was adopted, in which an industrial water flow was added and used as cooling water. The test result shows that the result of the reformation is favorable, and the economical efficiency of the unit was improved obviously.

    The size of the LP cylinder of steam turbine of AP1000 unit in Sanmen Nuclear Power Company Limited is larger than general ones. So the deformation of its components increases relatively, and the problem of the deformation control after the cylinder was disintegrated must be considered.     Taking the 300MW unit of Wangting Power Plant, which was put into operation in the 1990s , as example, the problems existed in DCS, such as that the devices were aged, the reliability of the system was lowered, the standby circuit cards supply was halted and so on, were analyzed. The reformation scheme of the DCS and the concrete implementation process during the unit overhaul in 2010 were introduced. The successful experiences obtained in DCS reformation processes, which included the software function optimization, the digital electrohydraulic control program porting, the construction debugging and others, were summarized. Aiming at the encountered problems, the solutions were proposed, which can be used as reference for similar units in DCS upgrade reformation.

    bstract:Since the boilers No.7 and No.8 of Huadian International Zouxian Power Plant were put into operation, the steam air heaters leaked frequently, which endanger the save operation of the forced draft fan and cause the soot formation in the preheater. In the minor overhaul of the boiler No.7 at 2011, a new turnover steam air heater was installed. Comparing with the original air heater, the arrangement of the new air heater is more rational,the system resistance reduced,and the soot formation decreased. The reformation result is favorable.

    The selection of slag removal scheme using steel tape dry slag conveyer for the 1000MW supercritical boiler in CPI Pingdingshan Power Generation Company was introduced. The slag removal scheme using steel tape dry slag cooling conveyer and the slag removal scheme using wet scraper slagoff machine were demonstrated, and the economical and technical performances of the two schemes were compared. According to the principles of safety and reliability, the technical advancement, the economical and reasonable and conservation of water and energy, the scheme using steel tape dry slag conveyer was selected. The practical application shows that better energy conservation effect was obtained by the scheme selection, and the operating cost was reduced too.

    The mercury removal situations in wet, semidry and dry desulphurization systems of coalfired power plants were introduced. The conversion processes of the mercury in different desulphurization systems and the factors influencing on the conversion were analyzed. The results show that due to the differences of the mercury removing mechanism, the activated coke dry desulphurization system has highest mercury removal efficiency; the semidry desulphurization system is in second place, and the mercury removal efficiency of the wet desulphurization system is lowest. In addition, the mercury secondary pollution caused by the mercury removal function of desulphurization equipments was discussed.

    The booster pump of the turbinedriven feed pump of 670 MW supercritical unit in Huadian Weifang Power Generation Company Limited is FA1D67 single stage double suction centrifugal pump. The operation stability of the pump is poor, and there are obvious safety defects in the pump. The pump was repaired many times, but the repair effects were little, and the pump is still a serious menace for the safe and economic operation of the unit. By test and analysis, the root of the problem was found out. The impeller and the volute were reformed and optimized. The problem was solved, and the safety and economic efficiency of the unit operation were improved effectively.
