    Due to that the practically fired coal of the boiler deviates greatly from the designed coal grade, the efficiency of the Wshape flame boiler of the 660MW unit in a power plant is lower. Aiming at this problem, the combustion optimized adjustment experiment was carried out. As first step, the F damper was regulated to balance the oxygen distribution in the outlet of the coal economizer. Then, starting from the main factors influencing on the operational economical efficiency of the boiler, combining with the features of the boiler, the influences of the load variation, the second air flow variation, the coal quality variation and the open degrees of C damper on the boiler efficiency were analyzed; and a rational operating condition was proposed.

    In daily production, more and more small faults and small accidents occurred in periodlevel; and the current distributed control system has not effective method to record the periodlevel signals. The OVATION system manufactured by Emerson provides a special algorithm, SoftSOE, to record the periodlevel accidents. The application of SoftSOE in a power plant shows that by using the SoftSOE technology, the accident analysis measure was enhanced greatly, and the safety of the unit increased vastly.

    Using the software ANSYS, the static and selfvibration characteristics of the Ushaped gate and the corresponding plate gate structure under different operation conditions were analyzed and calculated. The differences of the two structures in stress, displacement and selfvibration characteristics were compared. The study result offers technical basis for perfecting the design of the Ushaped gate and provides reference for the design and calculation of similar gate structures.

    The mathematic model of connection of distributed power sources into power grid was studied. Several familiar nodes of distributed power sources were divided into the PQ node, the PV node and the PQ(V) node. Based on this, depending upon the calculation function of MATLAB, using the principle of the forward/backward sweep algorithm, the power flow calculation of the distribution network with distributed power sources was carried out. The improved algorithm was adopted in the calculation. At last, the calculation speed and the convergence of the used algorithm were analyzed. The result shows that using the model and the algorithm, the power flow problem of distribution network with multiple distributed power sources can be solved quickly and conveniently.

    the coal characteristics and the actual operation situation, the main reasons causing the boiler slagging were analyzed. Some targeted control measures for

    preventing the boiler slag falling and extinguishing, such as the coal management, the oxygen adjustment and others, were proposed. After the measures

    adopted, obvious slagging of the boiler was eliminated; and favorable effect of the control measures was obtained.

    In the desulphurization control system of units No.3 and No.4 in Guangdong Zhuhai Jinwan Power Generation Company Limited, the Foxboro I/A Series

    distributed control system is adopted. The off-line and restarting phenomenon of single or double controllers in system occurred randomly, which threatens

    the safe and stable operation of the unit severely. The synchronous records of the system management counter and the controller were analyzed to determine

    the network problem; the node bus network had been monitored, and the data streams between stations were analyzed. It was determined finally that the data

    acquisition and send program of the supervisory information system in plant level, Opifox, caused the congestion of the node bus network of desulphurization

    distributed control system, which makes the two controllers to be asynchronous and to start up again. The data acquisition and send program had been

    replaced, and at last, the difficult problem was solved.

    The influence of the unit capacity, the unit load and the sulfur content in fired coal on the service power consumption rate of the limestone

    gypsum FGD system was analyzed; and it was obtained that the main reasons of the higher service power consumption rate of the FGD system are the higher

    sulfur content in fired coal, the higher soot concentration in the inlet of FGD system, the equipment blockage, the scaling and others. In order to reduce

    the service power consumption rate of the FGD system, some optimization measures, such as to regulate the desulphurization operation mode, to adopt powerful

    maintenance measures, to insure the precision of the instruments and so on, were proposed and adopted, which lays a foundation for normal, stable and energysaving operation of the FGD system.

    directfiring system as example, the optimization operation technology of the boiler under 70% rated load for energy conservation was studied and tested.

    Along with gradually shortage of domestic coal supply, the quality of actuallyfired coal is greatly deviated from designed coal quality in many

    power plants; and this causes the mass concentration of SO2 in inlet of FGD system to increase in large amplitude. So ,the existing FGD equipment must be

    reformed to increase its capacity. Combining with the capacity expansion reformation project of FGD system of a power plant in Guizhou, the capacity

    expansion reformation scheme was expounded in detail. The design experience was summarized, which provides reference for FGD capacity expansion reformation

    projects in future.
