    The reasons and the process of the pipe crack accident of 2×630 MW supercritical unit boiler in Huadian Guigang Power Generation Corporation Limited, which is led by the oxide skin dropping from the hightemperature heating surface, were analyzed, and the relevant treatment methods were proposed. It was shown by the practice that the treatment effects are obvious, and safe operation of the unit was ensured.

    The leakage fault was occurred in boiler No.5 economizer in the power plant of Hemei Company of Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group Corporation Limited, and the unit safe operation was impacted seriously. The online treatment method of economizer leakage was analyzed, and it was determined to adopt the measure of leaking stoppage with pressure. After the measure was implemented, the operation result shows that the continuous safe and economical operation of the boiler was realized. The method can be used as reference for the power plants being faced with similar problems. 

    In operation of a 600MW supercritical unit of a power plant, the two air preheaters were tripped simultaneously, and this caused the boiler MFT (main fuel tripping) tripped. The main reason is that the motor of belt conveyor of slag bin, which was connected into boiler MCC #2 section, was earthed; and the converter, which controls the motor, had not switched off the fault devices, and this had caused the voltage of boiler MCC #2 section was abnormal; the gear oil pumps of air preheater were tripped, then the main motors of air preheater were tripped though interlock circuit. The power source connection mode and power operation mode were corrected; a spare gear oil pump was added; and the gear oil pump and air preheater intertrip logic and settings were modified. Then the accident of main machine tripping, which should be caused by improper connection and operation of auxiliary equipments, can be avoided.

    The expansion of some tubes rows of hightemperature reheater in boiler No.5 of Shandong Bainian Electric Power Development Corporation Limited was impeded, and its hazardness was introduced. Aiming at the technical difficult problems, which has to be solved in adjustment of the hanger frame of hightemperature reheater, a handling scheme was proposed. After adjustment, the tubes can expand freely, and the adjusted condition was remained without large variation. The potential safety hazard of the equipment was eliminated thoroughly, and the safe and stable operation of the unit was ensured.

    After first overhaul for inspection of the oncethrough boiler No.1 of Huadian Suzhou Power Generation Corporation Limited, the overtemperature phenomenon was often occurred in outlet Aside of the platen superheater. According to the analysis, it was considered that the most direct reason of the higher temperature of the heating surface is the combustion stroke in the furnace was lengthened and the flame center was moved up. The ventilation system and the combustion system of the boiler No.1 were optimized, and the wall temperature of the platen superheater left side was controlled effectively. 

    The saturation of CT when it was faulted often causes the relay protection incorrect tripping. The saturation mechanism of CT and the secondary current characteristics of saturated CT were analyzed. According to the wavelet Mallat algorithm, a CT saturation detection method based on the wavelet theory was put forward. In this method, the wavelet Mallat algorithm was used to extract the low frequency energy and the high frequency energy of the secondary current, and their ratio is used as criterion for CT saturation detection. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation result shows that under various faults, the method can correctly detect whether the CT is saturated; the method has stable performance, and only lesser data were needed for the detection.

    Capturing CO2 from flue gas using monoethanolamine (MEA) absorption is a relatively mature technology at present. However, the existing problems, such as the high energy consumption in regeneration, hinder its largescale application in coalfired power plant. Thus, it is necessary to optimize the CO2 removal process flow to lower CO2 capture cost. Taking the CO2 removal system of a 430MW unit as research object, using ASPEN PLUS simulation software, the flue gas CO2 removal process with the MEA absorption in coalfired power plant was simulated. The CO2 removal process flow and some important parameters, such as the CO2 loading of lean solution, the pressure of the regeneration tower, the inlet temperature of the regeneration tower and the CO2 captured rate, were optimized. The simulation result shows that rational optimization can decrease the energy consumption and the material consumption in regeneration and then reduce the CO2 removal cost. The comparison of the simulation results with the results of published literatures shows that the result data of the CO2 removal system obtained by ASPEN PLUS simulation were exact and reliable. 

    The functions of AGC and the control scheme of the unit coordinative control system (CCS) were introduced. The coordinative control strategy, which is adopted in 2×300MW domestic subcritical CFB unit in Shaoguan Pingshi Power Plant for raising the AGC operation rate and optimizing the AGC adjustment quality, was provided. The practical operation shows that the month operation rate of the unit AGC is 99.3%, and the adjustment quality of the AGC can basically satisfy the requirements of the power grid; so the automation level of the whole unit was raised. 

The internal relation between the deep reducing the outlet gas temperature and the chimney corrosion prevention was analyzed. The evaluation of the additional cold source loss of the steam turbine in the deep energysaving system was discussed; and the key technology of heating surface corrosion prevention design was researched, here the corrosion is caused by the lower outlet gas temperature. It was pointed out finally that the scheme of deep reducing outlet gas temperature must be formulated according to the practical situation of the unit to get the maximum of the increased electricity.
