    The research of ultra-supercritical power generation technology was introduced, especially State Development and Reform Commission significant project “research of 600 MW supercritical thermal power unit” and 863 plan (“Tenth Five-year Development Plan”) ”ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation technology”. Research results of the two projects realized leap development of ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation technology. Further more, present situation of generating set manufacturing industry and development scale of ultra-supercritical units were introduced, and the leading direction in coal-fired power plant in China was pointed , which is the ultra supercritical electricity generation technology.

    In view of 2×600 MW supercritical units, optimized schemes for the problems accrued in oil system, main equipment appendix, draining system, and auxiliary system were put forward, which is sure to keep safe, economical, reliable and environmental performance. Meanwhile the problems occurred in vacuum pump, circulating pump and other important auxiliary equipments that putting into production were analyzed, and related advice was supplied.

    The structure and function of energy consumption analysis system on CFB heat supplying unit in Zibo Cogeneration Co., Ltd were introduced. Taking use of real-time data and associated with CFB boiler running characters, unit coal consumption can be calculated, key factors which influence coal consumption and the elaborate factors which effect boiler efficiency, steam turbine heart consumption and self-service consumption ratio can be analyzed which the result can guide the unit operation. In order to proven accuracy of the system, more research work is carried out in several parts: the relation of bed temperature control with boiler efficiency, economical character adjusting basis of cogeneration unit and energy saving evaluation criterion, operation evaluation indexes system and so on. Practices show that: the coal consumption of #3, #4 units is decreased, and the unit operating economics efficiency is improved with using this analysis system .

    Finite element analysis method is taken to analysis the reheat steam pipeline elbow heat stress in ultra supercritical unit, which the results showed that, under the intrinsic pressure load, the higher stress fields focus on intrados surface inside arches place, while outside arching place and other places have lower stress. The highest stress filed appeared corner place 25°~35°of inner arching. therefore, the design of elbow inner arching thickness is very important, and the results provided theory basis for the structure design of elbow.

    Based on thee basic theory of piping FEM, stress analysis of the exhaust steam piping of Shuozhou Geruite ACC Power Plant has been discussed in this paper. Dead weight, thermal expansion, seismic loads, winds and foundation settlement have been considered according to relevant codes. Piping has been analyzed under necessary combined load cases.

    The waste heat boiler is key equipment in gasification unit of IGCC power plant. The whole system efficiency can be improved by adopting the waste heat boiler to recover the heat of syngas. The waste heat of the boiler has three characteristics, high temperature, high pressure and strong reduction. Some problems must be pay more attention to solve , such as temperature corrosion, seal, and slag discharge for The radioactive waste heat boiler and fouling, plug and wear for the convection waste heat boiler .The key issues for research and design of waste heat boiler were summarized and analyzed, and the related methods were proposed.

    In view of the 330MW subcritical condenser steam unit with single intermediate reheat, four cylinders and quadruple flow, the large-area cracking problem on the 4th-stage blade of LP rotor was analyzed. Main factors contributing to the vibration response and dynamic stress of blades were discussed. With the vibration model, the vibration features and dynamic stress were calculated. The result showed that the blade fracture was mainly caused by the defective design in blade vibration characteristics.

    670 MW supercritical once-through boiler roof adopts twice sealing forms, and guard plate material is heat-resisting, anti-corrosive, ductility material. However, due to the oversized ceiling area and complex expansion, guard plate is easily to be ripped; besides, the heat-resisting plastic and refractory castable material will become loose due to heat, which will lead to flue emission. In order to solve the problems and increase the boiler efficiency, on the base of twice sealing forms, environmental nonmetallic three-dimensional flexibility seal technology is adopted, and the boiler furnace top seal situation is modified. It is not only solving flue gas leakage, ash leakage ,but also improving boiler efficiency and unit operation environment.

    The induced fan efficiency of 150MW CFB boiler in Huadian Wuda Cogeneration Plant was low, and the fan had other disadvantages such as high starting current, high rotational speed and high bearing temperature, which would lead to high auxiliary power rate. Therefore a transformation scheme was proposed that installing inverter in view of the present problems. After the transformation, the energy saving effect was significant, which improved equipment operating situation and extend equipment service life.

    The boiler parts interior in the fist 1000MW ultra-supercritical units are not clean enough and for other reasons, which it is easy to block the tubes, and the tubes are exploded during commissioning. After analyzed the causes of #1 unit several tubes exploded, the method that installing the orifice ring in the pipe interior so as to get the balance of water and substance speed was implemented. Further more, by adopting checking the cleanness of header and pipe interior, which decreased the tube explosion phenomenon, and enhanced the unit security.

    With the increment of desulphurization projects, how to ensure the stable operating of large capacity desulphurization equipments is getting more attention. Familiar malfunction of the desulphurization booster fan was introduced in view of 2×600 MW units(project iii ) and 2×1000 MW units(project iv) in the Zouxian Power Plant during commissioning. The malfunction problems were analyzed from the design, the installment, the operating and the overhaul. The corresponding processing measures were taken, which avoided the accident.

    Xiaoxiang hydropower station excitation system was put into operation in May 2002 with #1 unit run. With the time going, its control performance and stable became worse. In order to keep speed with the power system development tendency and improve economical benefit, the comprehensive transformation scheme to 2 units was carried out, and the results were satisfied. By analysis and comparison of present problems, technical transformation schemes and transformation results, the transformation experience was summarized. The remained problems after excitation system transformation was pointed and relevant advice was presented.

    In view of water drainage problems occurred during the water balance experiments in Xinjiang Hongyanchi Power Plant, the causes was analyzed, and detailed water saving schemes to deal with sewage of cooling tower, district heating system draining water, and draining water in ash removing system were supplied. After the transformations, the circulating water concentration ratio was enhanced significantly, while the water consumption decreased.

    The diode-clamped three-level rectifier which is suitable for Direct-drive wind turbine system is presented, the operating mode of the rectifier is analyzed, and a SVPWM control method which is based on the average model of PWM rectifier and tracked instruction voltage vector is derived in detail. The simulation results show that the harmonics is suppressed effectively, the distortion of AC current waveforms is decreased, the power factor can be adjusted, and the bi-direction flowing of energy is implemented.
