    Abstract:The severe weather occurred frequently in whole country for recent years, and this forms a great threat for stable operation of transmission lines and power plants. Aiming at the “11.5” accident of Togtoh Power Generation Company Limited in 2012, in which three of four output transmission lines of the company tripped successively due to severe snow and ice disasters, the operation mode of power units under extreme weather was put forward. The measures for resuming important power sources after the whole plantscope auxiliary power outage accident occurred were introduced, which are useful for ensuring the equipments of the power plant to operate safely and stably.

    Abstract:In order to increase the power transmission capacity, the series compensation devices were installed for the four output transmission lines of Togtoh Power Generation Company Limited. In order to restrain the subsynchronous resonance, which occurred after the series compensation devices were put into operation, the blocking filters were added to neutral point sides of each phase of each main transformer. In the same time, the unit shaft system torsional vibration protection and the asynchronous selfexcitation protection were configured. The reasons of subsynchronous resonance and the adopted targeted restraining measures were expounded. By means of analysis on actions of unit shaft system torsional vibration protection and the asynchronous selfexcitation protection under abnormal system operation condition, the effect of the blocking filter to restrain subsynchronous resonance was verified.

    Abstract:Secondary disasters will occur inevitably after power outage in whole plant scope, so to implement black start quickly is of important significance for a power plant. The correct selection of black start supply is the foundation of successful blackstart. Aiming at the tripout accident of three of the four output transmission lines of Togtoh Power Generation Company Limited at November 2012 caused by extreme weather, a optimized design of blackstart power supply system was carried out, in which the selection of the power source place, the protection configuration, the operation mode, the fivepreventing system, the electric energy metering system and others were considered. After the scheme was implemented in Togtoh Power Generation Company Limited, the blackstart was realized successfully and effectively, and favorable economic benefit and social effect were obtained.

    Abstract:When the power grid accident occurred, the power plants must be able to execute the instructions from the dispatching department automatically and quickly to avoid enlarging the power grid accident. At November 5, 2012, three of four output lines of Togtoh Power Generation Company Limited tripped, only one line remained in normal operation. Aiming at this accident, the influence of the tripout accident of output line on the power plant, the accident treatment process in the power plant side and the response scheme were expounded.
