    The classification and characteristics of partial discharge signal of high rating generator, and the application of PDA monitoring method in stator insulation monitoring were introduced.The influence of the capacitor coupling unit in the partial discharge online monitoring system and its frequency response on performance of monitoring system was analyzed qualitatively. The application of PDA technology in partial discharge online monitoring of 150 MW No.2 generator of Huadian Tengzhou Xinyuan Thermal Power Company Limited shows that this technology can analyze and diagnose, and can correctly judge the problem existing in generator insulation to give evidence for company to arrange and implement the maintenance plan.

    The two stage oil circulation technology applied in steam turbine washing after its overhaul was expounded in detail and compared with conventional oil circulating mode. Comparing with conventional oil circulating mode, the two stage oil circulation technology is more simple and feasible; it can provide better washing effect and can shorten oil circulating washing time, which is useful to ensure the limit time for overhaul work.

    In the Huadian International Zouxian Power Plant, the displayed temperature data of several measuring points in stator winding of 1 000 MW turbogenerator were abnormal. The elements installation and connection were inspected; the problematical elements were tracked and measured. Based on this, it was determined that there was electromagnetic interference and‘ground loop’ problem in temperature measure process. Aiming at the found problems, the temperature measurement of the turbogenerator stator winding was optimized and improved, so the accuracy of the temperature measurement of turbogenerator stator winding was ensured.

    In overhaul of 600 MW unit of Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited Baotou Power Generation Branch Company, it was found that cracks were occurred in highpressure outer casing. The reasons of the cracks were analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of several patch weld technologies were compared. Finally, the lowtemperature preheating nickelwelding materialused patch weld technology was selected and adopted, and favorable effect was obtained.

    In construction of diversion tunnel of hydropower station or other underground chamber, the collapse, the solution cavity, high pressure surging water, large fault and other adverse geologic sections often appear, which cause large potential hazard for construction safety. Usually the geological drilling was adopted to explore the geologic situation ahead, but this method can explore only shorter distance and consume longer time. The use of TSP203 advanced geologic prediction system can solve abovementioned problems effectively. The successful application of this system in construction of hydropower engineering has provided reference for other similar underground complex project construction.

    The vacuum system fault of steam turbine No.2 of L Power Plant in Indonesia was introduced. The reasons caused the vacuum system fault were diagnosed and analyzed. Using the filling water method and the Helium mass spectrum leakage detector to find the leakage point of the vacuum system, the especially big leakage point was found in lower half casing of low pressure cylinder. The effective measures were adopted, and the condenser vacuum leakage fault does not occur again.

    The result of vacuum leakage test of unit No.3 in a power plant was below standard all the time after its minor repair in January 2009; the decreasing speed of the condenser vacuum in testing basically remained in 600 Pa/min. The leakage of the vacuum system was detected by using the vacuum leak detector, and related leakage points were found. The suggestion for system improvement was put forward. The leakage points were plugged, and the system was improved; so the result of vacuum leakage test of unit No.3 became qualified.

    In the Thermal Power Plant of Zhejiang Jiangshan Chemical Corporation Limited, due to corrosion of inner wall of CFB boiler water wall tubes, the tube cracking accident was occurred many times for short term. Using the steel tube corrosion scanning detector, the remote field eddy current testing for water wall tubes in key area was carried out. By many times analysis, the corrosion defect positions were found, and the corrosion reasons were determined. The relevant preventive measures were adopted, and the tube cracking accident does not occur again.

    The arcdischarge fault detecting and locating device for the switch gear were expounded, in which the design of various units of several function modules was included. By combined use of the fault current detection method, the arc light probe technique, the arc light imageforming principle and the virtual instrument platform technology, the device can detect the arcdischarge fault occurred in the switchgear and locate the fault; and the detection results can reflect the occurring and developing process of the arcdischarge fault inside switchgear, which provides the basis for subsequent arcdischarge fault analysis.

    There is a mass of ferric ion in condensed water of steam heat supply system of thermal power plant in winter; and this condensed water can not be reuse directly. The domestic deferrization filtering device can not suit the site water temperature of 150 ℃.In Huadian International Shiliquan Power Plant, the highgradient magnetic filter was used to remove the ferric ions in condensed water; and the water quality can satisfy the demand of boilerused water quality. The effects in water conservation and energy conservation of this deferrization technology are remarkable.

    The pressure monitoring circuit of relay protection secondary circuit was introduced. The defect of pressure monitoring circuit of protection devices in new line protection design specification was analyzed, which is that when the first group operating power source is cut off; the second group operating circuit will be broken simultaneously, the breaker will be blocked incorrectly and can not trip after the line fault occurred. A solving scheme was put forward, in which the protection device will only block the reclosing mechanism, and the blocking of breaker open and close will be realized by secondary circuit of the breaker itself.

    In debugging of the 330 MW unit of a power plant, it was found that the stay hook of the emergency governor can not reset sometimes. According to analysis, the reason of the defect mentioned above is that the moment of torsion of parallelarranged doublesupported springs installed in location near the stay hook is insufficient. The moment of torsion of the springs was increased by some means, and the problem of stay hook reset was solved.

When the non fullphase operation state occurred and the generator non fullphase protection was not configured, the behavior of the generator negative sequence inversetime limit protection was analyzed. It was pointed out finally that there is certain need to configure the generator non fullphase protection for the unit without generator non fullphase protection, which can cut off the failure parts for shorter time when the non fullphase situation under rated condition occurs; and the safety of the generator will be protected.

    By using numerical simulation method, the flue gas distribution of flue gas purification desulphurization equipment integrated from multiple desulphurization towers using active coke was studied. The nonuniformity of gas flux existed between various desulphurization towers and between various adsorption units was found and revealed. In order to enhance the desulphurization efficiency of the equipment and the use ratio of the active coke, multiple hypothetical regulating schemes were tried, compared and filtered. The research result shows that the flue gas distribution can be regulated uniform by changing the diameters of the flue gas inlet branch pipes.

    The analysis on the operating parameters of unit No.1 and No.2 condensers in Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited. Baotou Power Generation Branch Company found that the terminal differences of low back pressure condensers were larger, and the heat transfer deteriorated, the technical improvement scheme was proposed and implemented, after that the vacuum of low back pressure condenser increased to above 0.4 kPa, created good economic benefits, it can be as the reference for energysaving improving of the same type unit.
