    The working gate of sand sluicing gate of Caojie Navigation and Hydropower Junction Project is extra large type exterior radial gate. The operation condition of the gate is complex. When the water level is the check flood level and the discharge gate is opened fully, the gate bottom edge is in 14.18m below the water surface. The general structure, the design form, the selection of the hoist type and other technical problems of the radial gate were introduced. The experimental research on the flow induced vibration model of the gate structure was carried out, which proved the rationality of the design.

    In Hunan Province Nanjindu Hydropower Station, the monitoring system of the bulb tubular hydraulic generator set was replaced by the PLC monitoring system. After this, based on original differtential pressure flow measurement method, various hydraulic parameters were readjusted and recalibrated; a complementary measure for flow calculation was added; the effective flow calculation formulas were established; in the design of programs for analog data collecting, calculating and monitoring, the local PLC control penel and the touch screen of monitor and control general system (MCGS) of the unit were used sufficiently. Finally, the realtime monitoring of flow of the hydraulic turbine was realized.

    A design scheme of a general platform of relay protection setting calculation and software management for power plant was put forward. In this scheme, the setting calculation will be done facing concrete relay protection devices directly; and the protection devices will be stored in device information database according to their catagories. In setting calculation process, the selfdefined protection setting mode was provided, and the work load of operators can be decreased, which is more in line with the requirement of the practical production. Combing with Power Plant C, the design was analyzed and tested; and it was proved that the design scheme not only has good commonality, but also has fast calculation speed, high accuracy and strong applicability.

    The lubricating oil system, which includes the selflubrication oil pump and the lubrication oil cooler, is configured for the gear reducer of the coal mill of 200MW unit in a thermal power plant in Zhengzhou. Due to the operation of the selflubrication oil system of the gear reducer was not stable, the gear reducer was damaged frequently. The gear reducer lubrication oil systems of four coal mills of unit No.2 was optimized and reformed; the lubrication oil stations for mill main bear set were used for providing lubrication and cooling for the gear reducers. The operation reliability of gear reducers of the coal mills in unit No.2 was increased greatly. The optimization scheme can be used as reference for the power plant using similar gear reducer of coal mill.

    In the reconstructed 2×350MW unit project of Huaneng Jining Power Plant, the preexisting cooling equipment for 2×110MW unit was utilized sufficiently. The cold side parameters of the unit were calculated and optimized. Based on the tendency analysis and the sensitivity analysis, a configuration scheme was put forward, and in this scheme, the annual total operation cost of the unit is most economical. Then the optimization of the unit cold side configuration and the maximizing of operation benefit were realized.

    In Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited, Baotou Power Generation Branch Company, after the B phase main transformer of unit No.2 was put into operation, during the periodical chromatographic analysis of the gas dissolved in the oil, it was found that the volume fraction of the total hydrocarbon was increasing continuously, and the absolute gas generation rate exceeded the warning value. It was judged that there is over temperature fault inside the transformer. The transformer was overhauled many times and had been transported to the manufacturing factory to repair, and the fault was found and eliminated finally; then the safe and stable operation of the transformer was ensured.

    The transformer microcomputer differential protection is very different from the conventional differential protection in their principle and the device structure. And the microcomputer differential protection devices, which are manufactured by different companies, are different from each other; so they must be treated earnestly and respectively in field calibration. The difference of protective principle between the two devices, which are the RCS978, manufactured by Nanjing Nanrui Relay Protection Company Limited, and the CSC326, the product of Beijing Sifang Relay Protection and Automation Company Limited, was compared. Based on this, taking the Y0/Y0/D11 threewinding transformer as example, the calibration step and calibration method of differential protection were introduced.

    In Xinjiang Kashgar Emergency Power Station, during debugging and operation of the PG9171E gas turbine, two times leakage incidents were occurred in hydraulic oil system of PG9171E gas turbine. The finding process and treating process of the two leakage incidents were introduced. A conclusion was summarized, which is that when the leakage of the hydraulic oil system was occurred, the auxiliary hydraulic oil pump will start automatically; if the outlet pressure of the hydraulic oil system is lower, then the motor current of auxiliary hydraulic oil pump is smaller and the leakage point is closer to the oil pump outlet. The experience can be used as reference for technicians to treat similar problems.

    Based on the analysis of the structure features, the heat transfering characteristics of the nuclear reactor molten core and the cooling treatment strategy for the molten core, according to the analysis and comparison of the treanment measures for the molten cores of four type nuclear power plants, which are AP1000, EPR, VVER1000 and the boilingwater reactor in Fukushima, Japan, it was confirmed that to cool and to contain the molten core in a pressure vessel have very important function for mitigating serious accidents. The difference in treatment mode of molten core influences the range of application of reactor unit power in a certain degree. The treatment mode of molten core of new reactor pattern is improved obviously comparing with the previous one. The difference in measures of different reactors for treatment serious accident reflect the difference in design concept of different reactor patterns. The remedial measures of molten core for various reactor patterns were researched in depth, which has important value for ensuring the safety of nuclear power plants.
