    The big slag chunks were formed and fell off frequently in operation of Zouxian Power Plant ultra-supercritical boilers, and these caused some problems, such as the emergency door of the slag-off machine was opened by bulge force, the water seal lost, the negative pressure in furnace fluctuated, the temperature of flue gas rose, the superheating surface went up abnormally etc. The safety, stable operation of units was affected seriously. The reason of slagging in ultra-supercritical boiler was defined by analysis of fuel characteristics, boiler design, operation adjusting and others, and the relevant preventive measures were proposed according to the analysis.

    Aiming the problems existing in all volatilization treatment process in which ammonia and hydrazine are adding to the feedwater of supercritical unit, an advanced combined feedwater treatment process was put forward in which the oxygen and hydrazine are adding to the feedwater.     The features of equipment and main bus connection in 1000 MW generator set were produced. The configuration scheme of protection was proposed, and the requirement of type selection for loss-of-excitation protection, stator earth fault protection and rotor winding earth fault protection were put forward too.     The peak-shaving gas turbine usually starts up at morning and shuts down at evening, the influence of this operation mode on the unit maintenance interval, the equipment safety and economic operation, the unit efficiency and the environment protection was analyzed in detail.     The abnormal problems occurred frequently in starting and shutting process of S109FA tandem combined cycle unit manufactured by CE Corporation. These problems were as follow: the vacuity dropped when by-pass put in operation during cold starting, the control valve of high pressure by-pass closed no tightly and leaked when high by-pass quitted, the drain pressure of desuperheator can not achieved auto-close set point in operation with low load, the level in the drain tank of steam turbine proper lowered and vacuity dropped, the circulating water temperature deviation on the second outlet of condenser increased. The relevant handling methods for solving the problems mentioned above were put forward.

    In the large condensing power plant the water-ring vacuum pump usually used as condenser air exhaust equipment. A method for raising vacuum pump output was introduced, which reduces the temperature of vacuum pump mechanical seal water by using a refrigeration equipment. The conclusion drawn by analysis and comparison is that this method can raise condenser vacuity obviously at summer, and the economical efficiency of the generation unit can be raised.
