    Based on the heat balance diagram of 600MW unit, the key data points in rated condition were analyzed, and relevant thermal efficiency data can be obtained by calculating according to the key data points. The coal consumption rate and unit thermal efficiency will vary with the variation of the field operation parameters. Therefore, it is can find that in which respects the unit need adjustment or reformation by analysis of key points data variation, and the key link for decrease the coal consumption rate of power plant can be grabbed. The emphasis of this paper is analysis of coal consumption data of steam turbine thermal power system, the coal consumption rate in this paper was obtained by heat balance calculation according to the relevant data of heat balance diagram.

    In the Huadian International Zouxian Power Plant, a benchmarking management long-effective work mechanism of‘Comparing with advanced, checking error and correcting malpractice, continually improving, uninterrupted exceeding’ was established, and adequate attention was paid to the energy-saving and consumption-reducing work. According to the actual operation of two 1000 MW units, the concrete methods and measures for energy saving and consumption reduction were analyzed and introduced. Under the rated condition, the standard net coal consumptions of units No.7 and No.8 are 282.28 g/(kW•h)and 281.91g/(kW•h),heat consumption rates are 7330.94kJ/(kW•h) and 7345.4kJ/(kW•h) respectively. Since the units were brought into production, their house service consumption rates achieve 5.22% and 5.29% respectively, and the design requirement was satisfied.

    unplanned outage is one of important benchmarking content, and boiler ‘four pipe’ leakage is the main reason caused unplanned outage in thermal power plant at long time, which influences safety and stable operation of generation equipments seriously. In the 670t/h boiler of Tianjin Junliangcheng Power Generation Corporation Limited, the heating surface was arranged unreasonably, heating surface leakage was occurred frequently. Aiming at this problem, a special anti-explosion team was established, the boiler heating surface was supervised and checked during the boiler production, erection and operation. By continuous groping and improvement, a set of effective anti-abrasion, anti-explosion experiences were summarized. The application of these experiences reduces the leakage greatly, and unplanned outage was no occurred in 2006 and 2007.

    The application of tiny-oil ignition combustion technology in the pressurized, direct firing, lean coal fired, 1036 t/h boiler was presented. By the actual example analysis of the Unit No.6 of Yangzhou Generation Corporation Limited, it was proved that the application of the tiny-oil ignition technology in similar boiler is feasible, and the oil consumption can be reduced considerably.

    The coal jamming in coal hopper is an important problem perplexing the operation of the circulating fluidized bed boiler in power thermal plant at long time. Based on the experiences of other power plants, combining with actual situation, the coal feeding system was reformed. The square cone coal hopper was replaced by hyperbolic coal hopper, the coal spread wind system was reformed too. The problem of coal jamming in coal hopper was resolved effectively, so the coal feeding is unimpeded even at rainy days.

    The vibration of steam turbine-generator set is common fault. It is very important for safety and economic operation of turbine-generator set that to deeply study the mechanism of vibration occurrence and development, to diagnose the fault correctly and to propose treatment measures timely. There was abnormal vibration occurred in a 210MW steam turbine-generator set of a corporation at low speed, and the set could not start-up normally. It is believed by analysis of the set status that the main reason caused the larger vibration of the set is the rotor mass no balanced. After treatment, the both of bush vibration and axis vibration were reduced to the ideal target.

    The current electrical control mode(DCS+ECS) of thermal power plant in the domestic was analyzed, it is pointed out that under this mode there is bottleneck for data communication, and some advanced functions, such as electric equipment information management, were difficult to implement. Under the instrument-electric integration power plant control system architecture, an electrical control system scheme was put forward which implement data exchange by means of communication with DCS, the full communication ECS will be located on the DCS plateform and can implement data exchange with DCS at various network layers, so the electrical hardware secondary connection of DCS will be cancelled. Several technical key points for realization of this ECS were analyzed, which includes networking mode, evaluation of communication performance and communication in the interval layers.

    The processes of scale inhibitor selection experiment, scale inhibitor density selection experiment and dynamic simulation experiment in the circulating water treatment system of Huadian Power International Shiliquan Power Plant were described in detail, and the concrete outlet temperature of circulating water and allowed control index were obtained.
