    A healthy data set is acquired through data collection and preprocessing based on the construction of distributed big data analysis platform such as Hadoop, Spark and Hbase. Regression forecasting model of energy consumption based on the parallel random forest algorithm is built to comprehensively analyze and compare the relationship between input based on random forest prediction model, model parameters and output. The emphasis lies on comparative analysis of the decision tree number, depth of the decision tree and maximum number of split, which will affect the training model accuracy, running time and complexity. Optimization of the prediction model can achieve accurate prediction on the coal consumption for power supply and soft measurement calculation.

    Since the supercritical generating system has complex structure and high requirements on safety performance, fault diagnosis is very difficult. Combining fuzzy theory and DS evidential theory, a new fault diagnosis method is proposed, whose process includes membership function determination, fuzzy processing, neural network diagnosis, data fusion with DS evidence theory and obtaining the final result. Taking the fan of a supercritical generating system as an example, this method can be used for fault diagnosis, finding the equipment with higher fault probability quickly and accurately and providing countermeasure according to the fault in time.

    The coal quantity as fire is an important parameter for units equipped with doubleinlet and doubleoutlet mill. Accurate calculation of coal quantity as fire is related to the control and adjustment of the unit. Based on the analysis of the coal mill running mechanism and a large number of field tests, several factors affecting the coal quantity as fire are modified, and various working conditions are considered. A new method for calculating the coal quantity as fire is made, which can control the coal as fire accurately. It solves the great fluctuation of the generators’ parameters caused by large calculating deviation of coal as fire and improve the regulation performance of the unit.

    In two regions suitable for the developing solar thermal power stations in western China, numerical simulation with system advisor model (SAM) software and Greenius software is made on a typical 50MW parabolic trough solar thermal power plant. The calculation is carried out mainly on heat storage duration, gross power output per month, annual gross power out, annual utilization hours, photoelectric efficiency, etc. The numerical results indicates that the results of two softwares show similar results and the difference of the results may be caused by the heating field thermal output model and the steam turbine model.

    After the operation of domestic 660MW ultrasupercritical units, it is hard to achieve the designed reheating steam (turbine side) temperature which is 620℃. Analysis, optimization and improvement are made from unit design, engineering quality control and operation optimization, etc. After the commercial operation of units, the reheat steam temperature can be kept at the targeted 620℃ stably in long term. The success of the practice provides a reference for the sametype units in their construction and operation.

    In order to solve the problem of blockage and leakage of the measurement pipeline during the operation of boiler furnace pressure protection system, two pressure transmitters were added on the original measurement equipment. One pressure transmitter and one pressure switch shares one sampling device. Signal of transmitter after election is taken as a protection signal. After modification, the blockage or leakage of the furnace pressure measurement pipeline can be monitored online. The furnace pressure measurement equipment can perform online without withdrawing from the furnace negative pressure protection. The pressure switches and pressure transmitters installed in groups can be mutually compared with each other, from which anomalies can be found. The application situation shows that the transformation can greatly reduce the maintenance working intensity of the furnace pressure measurement pipeline, reduce the risk of maloperation caused by maintenance work and make further improvement on the reliability of the furnace negative pressure protection.

    In recent years, new energy has developed continuously and rapidly in China. However, the proportion of coalfired thermal power in Liaoning is high. The construction conditions for peakload power supply are poor. It is difficult to adjust the peak during the heating period in winter, and the wind power abandonment is serious. Dandong Jinshan Thermal Power Company Limited built a new 260MW solid electric heat storage device, which converts the abandoned wind power into heat energy and supplies it to the heat network. It can ensure peakload regulation in the winter without reduce the heating output, which realizes the thermoelectric decoupling for thermal power units in winter and increase the utilization ratio of new energy sources.

    2×670MW coalfired units adopted a directblowing pulverizing system. When the coal quality was poor, the coal bunker was frequently blocked. The original methods which were vibration method, air cannon method, and screw dredge method worked ineffectively. A helical pneumatic dredging device is used to reduce the blockage of the coal bunker dramatically and improve the operation reliability of the system. It also avoids the problem of load reduction caused by coal blockage.

    When the gassteam combined circle cogeneration unit of Jiangsu Huadian Qishuyan Power Generation Company Limited was conducting a dual power supply switching test on the regulator station control source, the emergency shutdown device (ESD) tripped during the switching process. The power supply to ESD was switched to the output end of static switch, but the ESD still tripped .The reason was that the ESD control loop is not self holding loop. When the control loop is equipped with the self holding loop which delays in return after the power loss, the power supply reliability of the regulator station equipment is ensured and the safety hazard is eliminated.

    The 350MW heating unit with separated high and medium pressure subcylinder which is made by Harbin Steam Turbine Factory Company Limited takes a new steam sealing to improve cylinder efficiency. But it also brings certain problems to the start and operation of the steam turbine. During commissioning period of the unit, there were large bearing vibration, water contained in lowpressure shaft seal, serious steam leakage of highpressure cylinder at shaft end and other faults. Through the onsite troubleshooting, measures such as increasing the rotation rate set point of units warming , optimizing the valve flow control, reinforcing the vibration measuring bracket, eliminating the cylinder expansion resistance, and correcting the highspeed dynamic balance of rotor were taken. After the treatment, the main faults in the generating units are eliminated, which ensures the 168hour successful trial of the retrofit unit with full load.

    The LM2500 + G4 gassteam combined cycle generator makes use of the waste heat from the HRSG to heat the natural gas intake system. The intake gas temperature is 20℃ normally and will be heated to 30~80℃.Through comparative analysis, the technical and economic performance is optimal when heating natural gas to 80℃, which not only significantly improves the comprehensive energy utilization efficiency of distributed energy system with LM2500 + G4, but also improve the economy, reliability and safety of the generator.     Due to the influence of mass concentration characteristics and corrosivity of lithium bromide solution, the exhaust gas temperature of the flue gas hot water lithium bromide unit of buildingtype distributed energy system cannot be lower than 160℃ during cooling period in summer. In order to reduce the exhaust gas temperature of the system, it proposes 2 schemes which are setting up a flue gas hot water heat exchanger at the exhaust outlet of the lithium bromide unit and providing domestic hot water externally, or increasing hot water flow that flow into the lithium bromide unit. Taking a distributed energy system project as an example, the annual average energy utilization efficiency of the 2 schemes are calculated and the results show that setting up flue gas hot water heat exchanger can reduce the system exhaust gas temperature, and greatly improve the annual average energy utilization efficiency.
