    In order to grasp the selfvibration characteristics of the threearm radial gate of a hydropower station, the finite element models based on four calculation modes were established respectively. Using the ANSYS software, the selfvibration characteristics of the gate were calculated. The calculated results of different calculation modes were compared and analyzed. The research results can be used as reference for design calculation of similar gate structure.

    Aiming at the hard condition of effectively control in the concrete cracks of pier wall in hydraulic structure at the water gate, the ship lock and others. The necessity of the anticrack design was expounded, and the design method of the anticrack hidden beam was discussed by calculation and analysis of the temperature stress of the pier wall. The engineering implementation result shows that to configure pier wall hidden beam rationally can control the concrete cracks effectively in the penetrating cracks in especial .It is an anticrack design method with obvious effects.

    For the hydropower station with the water turbine inlet valve in its design, whether the inlet valve can be installed quickly is one of important factors determining that whether the hydropower station can generate electricity ahead of time. Based on the experiences of construction, a fast installation method of the inlet valve was proposed. The method had been used in practice, and the anticipated goal was achieved.

    A simulation supporting system based on virtual DCS stimulative mode was introduced. The whole structure of the system was first given,then the partition of function modules, the design and realization of each module, the technical characteristics of the function modules were expounded; and the way to construct the complete simulation system using simulation supporting system with the virtual DCS was described. The practical engineering application of the simulation system in a 300MW thermal power unit shows that the system is effective.

    The traditional grey prediction model can reflect the general variation trend of the power load only, but it can not reflect the seasonal fluctuation feature of the power load. Based on the monthly adjusting coefficient, the grey cycle combined prediction model was proposed; and a complex monthly power load prediction with consideration of two tends was studied. The calculation example shows that the prediction accuracy of the combined prediction method is better than that of the traditional prediction method.

    In order to reduce the power generation cost and raise the economic benefit of power plant completely, aiming at the combustion characteristics of the 630MW unit boiler of a power plant, the characteristics of blended burning with coal produced in Indonesia were tested. The rational blending scheme was proposed, and the matters needing attention in Indonesia coal blended burning were pointed out. The favorable effect of practical coal blended burning was obtained in the power plant, and the economic efficiency of the unit was improved, which provides powerful technical basis for Indonesia coal blended burning in boilers in the future.

    A distributed power generation system driven by the fitness equipment with up and down reciprocating mechanism was introduced. The system can translate the bidirectional input into single directional output. Whether the substitution of the selected fixed pulley is rotating in forward direction or in backward direction, using the ratchet mechanism, the rotations can all be translated into single direction rotation; and by the gear set, the rotation speed can be raised to high enough to drive the generator to generate electricity. The power generation system can satisfy the requirement of energy conservation and emission reduction. The experiment shows that the average power of the generating system is 200W, and the minimum mass of the weight is 31.56kg. The cost of every device can be recovered for 1.68 years. The power generation system presented in this paper has high utility value.

    The retardation and jam occurred in the regulating system of the steam turbine mediumpressure hydraulic servomotor in a thermal power plant.

    According to the analysis, it is determined that the gland of the mediumpressure hydraulic servomotor was installed askew by the maintenance staff,the

    seal sleeve was squeezed with the shell. When the servomotor piston is moving down quickly, the friction force act as resistance for the seal sleeve, which

    disengages the seal sleeve upward and makes the fault of mediumpressure hydraulic servomotor. The servomotor seal sleeve had been taken down and repaired,

    and it had been installed again. The hidden danger of the equipment was eliminated, and the equipment accident was avoided.

    stator cooling water pump was stopped; although the 1B stator cooling water pump started automatically, but the stator cooling water pressure difference low

    signal had been given out, and protection device had tripped and caused the generator disconnection from the power system. The reason of the protection trip

    Taking the induced draught fans of the 300MW unit in Tianjin Huaneng Yangliuqing Thermal Power Company Limited as example, the relative logic and

    functions of the automatic control system after reformation of variable frequency control system for the induced draught fans were introduced. Some problems

    were existed in the variable frequency control system, which including that the adjustment speed of the frequency converter is faster than electric actuator

    of the fan inlet damper adjustor, and when one of the two fans is driven by frequency converter and the other is driven by 50Hz power source, there are not

    automatic balancing and deviation rectification functions in the original control system. In order to solve above problems, the electric actuator of the fan

    inlet damper adjustor was replaced, the parameters of the PID adjustor were adjusted, and the two fans automatic balancing function and deviation

    rectification logic were added into the system. The static and dynamic tests and practical operation show that the improvement of the variable frequency

    control system achieves expect goal, the induced draught fans operate more economically and reliably.
