    Taking 2×330MW direct air cooled unit as an example, the general layout and the overview of the building design of the power plant water, the water source and the water treatment center were introduced. The feasibility to adopt the field bus technology in the water treatment center was analyzed. By adopting the field bus control technology in the water treatment center, the transmitted information is changed from analog signals into digital signals, the devices have functions of intelligent diagnosis and predictive maintenance, and the digital control of the water treatment center is realized. Using the technical advantages of the field bus control technology fully, such as the fewer occupied area caused by centralized control, the lower investment and the higher safety and reliability, the operation and management level of the water treatment center are improved greatly.

    The static and dynamic characteristics of the tail water emergency gate structure of a pumped storage power station were researched numerically by use of the software ANSYS. The fixed wheel reacting force under two connection forms of the two gate sections, the stress and the displacement of various parts of the gate, the buckling stability and the frequency and type of the gate natural vibration were calculated and analyzed. The results of this paper provide technical basis for selecting the final design scheme of the gate structure, which can be used as reference for design and calculation of the similar gate structure.

    Aiming at the larger influence of the environment factors on the direct air cooled unit, taking the 300MW direct air cooled unit of a power plant as an example, using the numerical simulation method, the computational model of the air cooled condenser unit was established. And further, the law of the influence of environmental factors on the flow field of condenser unit was found. The relation between the heat transfer efficiency of the air cooled condenser and the environmental factors was studied quantitatively. The result in this paper can provide numerical reference for optimized design and economical and safe operation of the condenser.

    In the oncethrough cooling water system of power plant, the siphon well plays important role. The rationality of the siphon well design scheme influences on the safety of the system operation greatly. Under the extreme condition of the hydraulic transient process, combining with the practical project example of the YH Power Plant, the influence of the siphon well arrangement scheme on the safety of system operation was analyzed. The improvement measures of the arrangement scheme were proposed, and the general design principle of siphon well arrangement scheme was summarized.

    The intelligent reformation of the domestic traditional hydropower stations is an inevitable development trend. The intelligent hydropower station must use the unified hydropower station model to realize data exchange on integrated platform based on the standard IEC 61850. Based on analysis of current situation of the traditional hydropower stations, the feasible system framework for intelligent reformation of traditional hydropower stations, the equipment modeling method for hydropower stations based on the standard IEC 61850 and the software structure of the intelligent communication server, which will be used to realize IEC 61850 communication with the master station, were proposed. The future intelligent reformation of hydropower stations was discussed.

    A new design and optimization method of cable main tray of thermal power plant was introduced. The cable path table, which is created by the software ‘SDEPCT power plant thermal control cable digital wiring’, will be used to analyze the cable tray capacity of each layer of the 2×300MW unit in Xinjiang Hefeng Power Plant. The optimized scheme of cable tray design was put forward. The method provides the data basis for cable main tray design, which can be used as reference for standardization of cable main tray design of similar units.

The defects in previous design and type selection were solved, which provides reference for design of condensate polishing system in subsequent nuclear power stations.

    In the load reducing process of unit No.11 of Wangting Power Plant, the highpressure governing valve closed suddenly, which caused that the water level in steam drum rose and the main fuel protection tripped (MFT) finally. It was determined by analysis that the reason caused the high pressure governing valve to be closed suddenly as following,the gap and the porthole of the MOOG valve were blocked by the pollutant in the EH oil system and the valve was malfunctioned. The governing features of the water level in the steam drum of drum boiler and the matters needing attention in the operation were put forward, which is helpful for avoiding unplanned outage and improving safety and reliability of the unit.

    In order to satisfy the heating demands of the Zoucheng city, the 2×335MW straight condensing unit of Zouxian Power Plant was reformed into heat supplying unit. The steam extraction for heatsupply is led out from the steamguide tube between medium pressure cylinder and low pressure cylinder to the initial station of heat supply network. The initial station of heat supply network was built in plant area and connected with the heat supply piping network of Zoucheng city through the heat supply piping new built in plant area. After the reformation, favorable social effects and economical benefit were obtained.

The concrete regulating measures were proposed, and the optimal resin regeneration process was formulated. After the regulation, the acid and alkali consumption of the desalinization system for anion exchange resin and cation exchange resin regeneration decreased obviously, and the economic efficiency of the resin regeneration of desalinization system was increased.

    A multifunctional safety monitoring and fault diagnosing system for wind power generation set was developed. Using the developed system, it is able to carry out the predictive maintenance of the condition of wind turbine drive system, to prevent the secondary fault of the equipment and to reduce the economic losses caused by accidental shutdown. The system is helpful for improvement of modern management level of the wind farm. Other than vibration monitoring of the drive system and the fault diagnosis, the safety monitoring and fault diagnosing system can monitor open flame and smog caused by electric short circuit inside the cabin and can monitor the realtime surface temperature of the devices. The system has functions of video monitoring, voice interaction and radio frequency identification (RFID), which is useful for effective management of the maintenance of wind farms and improvement of the office automation level of wind farms.
