    Due to diversification of technical development of steam turbine seal, when a power plant try reform its steam turbine for energy conservation, it is faced with a question: how to select various seals. According to the characteristics of the radial motion of turbine shaft under various conditions, the variation laws of seal safety gap and economical gap of steam turbine in two conditions were analyzed, and the classifying method of various gland seal was proposed, which provides more scientific and rational reference standard and basic principle for steam turbine seal reformation in power plants.

    Aiming at the problem of obstructed drainage existed in axial exhaust fans No.1 and No.2 of 2×600MW unit in Huaneng Tongchuan Power Plant, two reformation schemes of axial exhaust fan drainage pipeline were analyzed. It was considered that connecting the drainage pipe in bottom of impellers stage I and stage II of axial exhaust fan directly into the inlet pipe can solve the problem of obstructed drainage. In Huaneng Tongchuan Power Plant, using the standby unattended time, the drainage pipes of axial exhaust fans No.1 and No.2 were reformed. After the reformation, the problem of obstructed drainage of axial exhaust fan was solved thoroughly, and desired result was obtained.

    In the periodical flexibility test of highpressure intercept device of 335MW steam turbine in Huadian International Zouxian Power Plant, some potential hazards of shutdown accident occurred, which include the fault of pressure transducer, the jam of electromagnetic valve, the human error and others. The highpressure intercept electromagnetic valve was redesigned, and an isolating device was added. In the flexibility test, the online safe oil system is completely isolated. Then the shutdown risk caused by hardware fault or improper operation can be avoided. 

    The jamming of sliding key system of steam turbine generator set was occurred in a thermal power plant, which caused the differential expansion of the unit to be exceeded the standard badly in start up and shut down process, and endangered the unit equipments and the operation safety. The jamming part of the key seat of sliding key system had been repaired, and the key had been replaced; so the jamming of the sliding key system was eliminated basically.

    The water circulating pump of the 2×300MW unit of China Huadian Baotou Donghua Heat and Power Corporation Limited is driven by 50Hz power supply and is difficult to adjust the circulating water flow. In winter, the circulating water flow is smaller, and the serious icing occurs in the water tower, which causes that the pipe of the condenser is blocked, the terminal temperature difference and the subcooled temperature are increased, and the water consumption is increased too. According to the technical argumentation, the two units and single circulating water tower operation technology was adopted, the icing in water tower was avoided, the terminal temperature difference and the subcooled temperature were decreased, the water consumption was also reduced, and obvious economical benefits were obtained. 

    A dynamic video image surveillance system for highvoltage switch was introduced. The system was designed specially to adapt to the structure features and operation characteristics of highvoltage switch. In this system, the highspeed infrared camera technique was used, which can monitoring realtime the highspeed sharp image of the internal structure of the highvoltage switch, can record, track, analyze and identify the video image in long term. The video surveillance system will play an important role for ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power system and enhancing the automatic dispatch level and the maintenance level of power system.

    In Fujian Huadian Kemen Power Generation Corporation Limited project phase I, when the unit operated under high load, the high pressure regulating valve of the small steam turbine was opened, a great quantity of cool reheating steam participated in working, and the high pressure regulating valve and low pressure regulating valve jittered frequently in large amplitude. According to analysis, it was considered that the fault reason is the setting of the overlap of high pressure regulating valve and the low pressure regulating valve of the small turbine tended to be larger. The degree of overlap had been modified in accordance with the value recommended by the manufacturer of the microelectrohydraulic control system devices, and the unit can operate normally in full load. 

The technical characteristics of metalsealed ball valve were compared with those of traditional cutoff valve, and the technical characteristics of new type metalsealed ball valve were compared with those of traditional metalsealed ball valve.     After advanced treatment, the regenerated water can be reused as circulating cooling water of power plant. The advanced treatment process of the petrochemical waste water in a power plant was introduced. In this process, the aeration biological fluidized tank + coagulation clarification process were adopted to treat the petrochemical waste water; the coagulation clarification treatment with adding lime was adopted to treat the exhaust waste water of power plant circulating water. The two kinds of waste water are merged, and then are filtered in the filter with variable holes. The quality of the output water of the filter can attain the standard of power plant circulating cooling water and is used in production.
