    The composition of the vibration monitoring system of hydroelectric generator in YEYWA Hydropower Station of Myanmar was introduced; the reasons of the severe vibration of the relief pipe in head cover caused by the incorrect welding position of the balance weight block were analyzed. The basic method and the treatment process of the dynamic balance test were expounded. After the balance weight block was replaced, the amplitudes of various vibrations are in the ranges of the designed requirements, and the dynamic balance of the unit was realized. 

    The regulation capability of the Longmentan Reservoir is poorer; after the first cascade hydropower station was put into operation, there was surplus water every year. The feasibility and the necessity of the capacity expansion were analyzed. Different reformation schemes for capacity expansion were compared, a reformation scheme was put forward, in which the turning wheel will be replaced by the new one, and an assistant generator will be added (two generators will be driven by one hydraulic turbine in one axial); and the favorable effect was obtained after the reformation. 

    In the installation of the metal structure equipment of the Bailianhe Pumpedstorage Power Station, the largest difficult point is how to overcome the difficulties of the straitness of work field and the larger installing height and lift the winding drum of the winchhoist of the emergency gate into its place, which locates 20m above the tower body platform in the inlet (outlet) of the upper reservoir. A construction scheme was put forward, according the scheme, the 1000kN autocrane was stopped on the existing tower body platform; the landing legs was stretched out partly; using the ultimate mechanical property of the autocrane, the winding drum had been unloaded and lifted directly in the tower body platform. The installation task was accomplished quickly and economically. 

    The composition, the principle and existing problems of the boiler air preheater control system in the 300MW unit of a power plant were introduced. Before the reformation, when the power supply or the control mode of the control system was switched over, the driving oil pump often tripped; and the tripping caused that the condition of the standby motor of the air preheater interlocking start was false, the main motor and standby motor were stopped all, and this caused the “Run Back” operation. The defects were discussed emphatically. The technical reformation scheme for solving the problems was put forward. After the reformation, when the control power supply was switched over, the tripped driving oil pump will start up automatically, and the interlocking starting condition of the standby motor of air preheater was ensured. 

    Two design ideas and schemes for steam turbine reformation in Guangzhou Hengyun Cogeneration Power Plant were introduced, in which the exhaust of high pressure cylinder and the extraction steam from 3 sections are used as heatsupply steam source point respectively. The exergy losses of the high pressure cylinder exhaust heatsupply and the 3 sections extraction steam heatsupply were analyzed using the exergy method. The conclusion was obtained that the scheme of extraction steam heatsupply from 3 sections has smaller exergy loss, but the scheme of high pressure cylinder exhaust heatsupply is more flexible.

    In March 24, 2009, during connection into the power grid of the Unit No.2 of Hunan Huadian Changsha Power Generation Limited, the connected generator was disconnected due to the incorrect tripping of the overexcitation protection. According to the record diagram of the protection fault recorder, the protection acting report and the tracking records of the whole connection operation process, the reasons of the protection incorrect tripping were analyzed; and the reasons of the endless loop of the sequential control logic were analyzed too. The problems existed in generator deeply underexcitation operation were discussed. Some relevant preventive measures were adopted in accordance with site practical situation.

    In order to verify the feasibility of ligniteblended burning in the 300MW unit of the Heilongjiang Huadian Qiqihaer Thermal Power Company Limited, the maximum ratio of the lignite in the ligniteblended burning was determined, which can ensure the safe and stable operation under the rated load. In the 1025t/h boiler, the bituminite and the lignite are pulverized separately, and blended and burned in furnace through different burners. The experiments of the pulverizing system output, the characteristics of the coal and the boiler efficiency in different ligniteblended burning mode were carried out. The experiment result shows that the maximum ratio of the lignite in the ligniteblended burning is about 54%, and in this condition, the main operation parameters of the unit are normal, and there was no serious slagging even at full load. Under the same load, the boiler efficiency of ligniteblended burning is decreased slightly. Considering the difference between the lignite and the bituminite prices, the cost of the unit with ligniteblended burning is decreased greatly, and the economical benefit of the unit increased obviously.

The experiences of practical defects detection were summarized. The effective testing of the hightemperature bolt with size greater than or equal to M32 was realized.

    According to the design idea of large capacity unit system, there is an inseparable interlock between the boiler, the steam turbine and the generatortransformer set; in most cases, any one of the three main equipments tripping should cause the others to trip. In some thermal power plants, in order to effectively avoid the losses in both economy and credit caused by the unit nonplanned outage, the reformation for boiler shutdown without turbine outage had been carried out. When the boiler shutdown accident occurred, which counts about 60% of the unit nonplanned outage, the turbinegenerator set will no longer be broken from the power grid; by the human intervention, adding some operation technical measures, the turbinegenerator set could operate continuously to ensure that the unit can recover to normal operation quickly.

    An oil leakage fault inside a hydrogencooled generator was analyzed. Some possible reasons of the leakage, such as the leakage of the inner oil retainer, the large amount of leakage of the sealing pad, the blockage of the pressure oil back tube in hydrogen side, the sand hole of the large end cover and others, were excluded. By the bulge test, it was determined finally that the reason of the inner oil leakage of the generator was the leakage of the corrugated tube of the differential pressure valve. After replacing the sealing gasket, the oil leakage fault was eliminated. 

The new requirement of environment protection can be satisfied by reformatting the electrostatic precipitator into electrobag composite dust remover, and the reformation is technically feasible. The working mechanism and reformation thought of electrobag composite dust remover were introduced, and it was illustrated by practical examples that the electrobag composite dust remover has more advantages in both technology and economy. 

    In the variable frequency reformation of the condensate pump, for optimizing the technical indicators of the water level control system of the deaerator, after the water level adjusting valve was fully opened, as a trial, the water level control was switched over without disturbance to the frequency converter control. The new method can reduce the throttling loss of the valve and the power consumption of the condensate pump, and obtain favorable economical benefit.

    In a 500kV substation, when the breaker No.5011 was switched on to charge the main transformer without load, the breaker No.5032 was tripped. The accident was investigated and analyzed, and the conclusion was obtained that the action of the breaker No.5032 was caused by the interference. When the equipment of the 500kV EHV power grid is being manipulated, the electromagnetic interference, which caused by the static electric field and the magnetic field around the equipments, the corona and the electromagnetic radiation, often is larger, and the operating voltage of the 500kV breaker is lower; therefore, it is easy disturbed. According to the analysis of this accident, more rigorous requirement of the normative setting of the antijump relay was put forward. 

First, the existing sewage treatment plant will be upgraded by building the anoxic tank, the anaerobic tank and rebuilding the activated sludge returnflow system for wastewater treatment plant phase I; the output water should meet the first class level B of the standard specified in the file “discharge standard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant”. Then the output water will be separately further treated according to the different water quality requirements of the power plants and urban miscellaneous water.     In the boiler No.3 of the Huadian International Bainian Electric Power Development Corporation Limited, due to the blockage of the tubular air preheater and the corrosion and scaling of the heat exchanging surface, the temperature of the hot air was lower, the air leakage was serious, and the temperature of the flue gas was higher. The boiler efficiency in summer was less than the designed value, and the gross coal consumption rate was exceeded the standard seriously. After the air preheater was replaced by rotary airpreheater, the heatexchange efficiency was increased in large amplitude. The primary air temperature was increased by 50℃ above the designed value, the temperature of the mixture of air and coal powder was increased by 30℃, the consumption speed was increased, the air flow into the air preheater was increased, the temperature of the flue gas was decreased, the carbon content in combustible matter in flyash was reduced, and the boiler efficiency was increased.
