    Abstract:There were problems in the doubleended ball mill of Shanxi Huadian Pucheng Power Generation Company Limited. The problems existed in many aspects of the mill, which include the lining board, the separator, the clapper, the material quality and metal content ratio of the ball, the primary hot air passage system, the oil injection device of the large gear wheel, the sealing air fan of large gear wheel cover and others. Aiming at above problems, the mill system was reformed, and its performance was optimized. The large boiler slag content reduced from 17% to 5%~ 7%, and the content of combustibles in fly ash reduced from 6% to about 3%. The safety and economic efficiency of the unit were improved.

    Abstract:The gridconnected power plant management appraisal system is of important significance for enhancing the rewards and punishment of AGC, improving AGC management level, saving energy and reducing emission, improving enterprise’s benefit and enhancing the reliability of power grid operation. The concrete AGC management benefitenhancing measures of Huadian Zhangqiu Power Generation Company Limited were introduced.     Abstract:Using the fluid simulation software AFT Arrow, the steam leakage pipe model of steam turbine shaft seal was established. The flow setting method and the pressure setting method were used to calculate the steam leakage rate of the shaft seal respectively, and the features of the two calculation methods were analyzed. The calculation results can be used as reference for the turbine manufacturer in shaft seal system design and for the design institute in optimization of piping layout.

    Abstract:There were several problems in operation of the 600MW unit of Zhanjiang Zhongyue Energy Corporation Limited, which include that the maximum deviation of the primary air velocity is larger, the deviation of the two side temperature and two side oxygen content of the air preheater are larger, the fineness of pulverized coal is more coarse, and the power consumption for coal pulverization is higher. Aiming at above problems, several experiments were carried out, which include the primary air velocity balance adjustment, the adjustment of baffle opening of the splitter, the loading force changing experiment, the output changing experiment and the air flux changing experiment. According to the experimental results, the unit operation parameters were optimized and adjusted. The equilibrium of the coalair ratio of the mills and the fineness of pulverized coal were improved. The power consumption for coal pulverizing was reduced. The economic efficiency and safety of the unit were raised.

    Abstract:In Harbin Third Power Plant of Huadian Energy Company Limited, after the distributed control system of the 600MW unit was put into operation, the system operation was unstable. So the unit stability lowered greatly, and the safe operation of the plant was affected. Combining with the actual situation of the unit operation, the occurred problems were analyzed one by one, and the solving scheme was proposed. After the scheme had been implemented, favorable results were obtained.

    Abstract:Aiming at the concrete loca resource condition of the 2×60MW coalfired power plant in Combodia, considering the requirements to reduce the soil replacement amount, to control the cost rationally and to ensure the project duration, the concrete grounding scheme was put forward. According to the rule of the file IEEE 80—2000“Guide for Safety in AC Substation Grounding”, the permissible values of the step voltage and the contact potential were verified, and it was ensured that the grounding resistance in whole plant can meet the requirement of the project contract.

    Abstract:The larger air leakage rate of the rotary air preheater is difficulty troubling many large power generation enterprises, and it influences on unit economic operation seriously. Using a new air leakage control technology —— the gap selfcompensating air leakage control system, the Harbin Xinglong Boiler Company Limited implemented the air preheater seal reformation of unit No.3 in Ezhou Power Generation Company limited of Hubei Energy Group during the unit overhaul period. After reformation, under unit full load and variable load conditions, the air leakage rate remained within 4%~5% for long term, and the unit economic operation was ensured.

    Abstract:The quality and coking mechanism of east Junggar coal was analyzed. The lowtemperature combustion method was introduced. Based on a large amount of experiment and research, using the lowtemperature combustion method, the east Junggar coal blending combustion by eighty percentages was realized first, and the boiler can operate stably with full load. The experience of the boiler can be used as reference for other east Junggar coalfired power plants to prevent and lighten boiler coking.

The comprehensive performance of the boiler under different mixed ratio, different coal quality and different mills was analyzed. Depending on the site experiment and the analysis and comparison of the cola quality, the safety and economic efficiency of the boiler under different blending ratio of east Junggar coal were grasped, which provides guide for the boiler to operate in rational mode under east Junggar coal blending combustion.

The difficulties of hoisting were analyzed. According to the relevant provisions in the file DL 5009.1—2002 “Code of Safety Operation in Power Engineering Construction”, the lifting plan was determined, and the key points of the lifting operation were given. According to the lifting plan, the main plate girder K5 had been installed on correct position safely.

    Abstract:An undervoltage protection false trip accident was analyzed. The voltage transformer wire broken fault occurred firstly due to operator's incorrect manipulation. Then the PT disconnection did not lock the undervoltage protection. So the undervoltage protection tripped incorrectly. The principle and judgement logic of the protection device PT disconnection were analyzed. The influence of outside electromagnetic elements on the voltage sample circuit of the protection device was investigated. The undervoltage protection lockout logic was improved and perfected, and the false trip accident was avoided.

    Abstract:The flue gas desulphurization system gasgas heater (GGH) of a power company was researched. The influence of GGH blockage on the desulphurization system was analyzed. The pressure air soot blower system was optimized. The steam jet soot blower system was installed additionally for GGH. The soot blowing mode and the soot blower control strategy were optimized. Then the GGH blockage was mitigated, the GGH operation pressure drop was decreased, and the safe and reliable operation of the flue gas desulphurization system was ensured.

    Abstract:The reasons of corrosion of the air preheater heat exchange tube bundle of a biomass fueldirectly fired boiler were analyzed, and it was determined that the air preheater's corrosion is caused by the low dewpoint acid corrosion and the alkali metal deposit corrosion. The air preheater heat exchange tubes had been replaced by enamel tubes. Then the air preheater operates in good condition for a long term, the hot air temperature is much higher than design value, and the enamel tubes do not corrode basically. The comprehensive service live of the enamel tube is much longer than the service live of original steel tube. The economic efficiency of the unit was improved.

The problems of biomass fuel blending combustion process were summarized, and relevant solutions were proposed. The results in this paper can bring visual economic benefit and social effect for the power plant.
