    Abstract:The vibration protection setting value of hydraulic generator unit is set by trial statistics generally and the accuracy of setting result strongly depends on the accuracy of experimental data and the experience of technician,therefore it has certain limitations and cannot meet the demands of flexibility and accuracy for setting the protection value.This paper proposed a new protection value setting method which based on the statistical analysis of historical data.Firstly,different setting value areas are divided according to the operation condition of hydraulic generator unit.After that,a numerical prediction model of the vibration monitoring points for different setting value areas is established through the extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm.At last,the setting values of different areas are set based on the output values of the model. Experiments proved that the method can set the setting values of different areas flexibly and accurately according to the historical operating data.

    Abstract:Subsynchronous over current protection is necessary for the protection of pumped storage unit in the process of variable frequency starting.For the mal operation problem of subsynchronous over current protection in the process of variable frequency starting for Tiantang pumped storage power plant,this paper proposed a frequency independent algorithm based on half wave integration,and practical example proved that the accuracy of this algorithm is not affected by frequency.This algorithm has the advantages of wide frequency adaptation range and small harmonic wave influence.

    Abstract:This paper introduced a practical ultra low power sensing and warning system for chimney corrosion based on the problem that chimney will be corrosive after wet flue gas desulfurization process.The design for hardware and software of this system was mainly introduced in this paper.The ultra low power microcontroller MSP430F149 was chosen as a control chip,and alternating current was used instead of direct current power supply as a sensing wire to reduce the lead polarization loss.Also,simplifying procedures in microcontroller control logic can reduce operating load and prolong its service life.The system ensures the maintenance personnel can detect and repair leaks in time,which effectively achieve a safe,stable,reliable and low input chimney leak detection warning system,and a purpose of safe production.

    Abstract:Combining the factory experimental data of high voltage auxiliary transformer of a 600 MW unit and asynchronous motor parameters that 6 kV auxiliary bus connected,this paper calculated and compared the initial values of three phase short circuit current of the 6kV auxiliary bus using equivalent voltage source method and traditional method,respectively.In the calculations above,the feed network impedance on the high voltage side of high voltage auxiliary transformer is supposed to be 0.The calculations show that the average calculated values of short circuit current that provided by auxiliary power supply branch are very close to each other between equivalent voltage source method and traditional method.

    Abstract:In order to solve the setting match problem,the phase to phase distance protection is adopted in the complex network of small current grounding system instead of overcurrent protection.When the interphase short circuit fault occurs in the system,the phase to phase distance protection elements of non fault phases that influenced by load current and line length will fall into the action area under certain circumstances.     Abstract:This paper introduces the design features of 1000 MW ultra supercritical boiler in Huadian Laizhou Power Generation Company
    Limited.Tests on bottom air leakage,coal blending and oxygen content are conducted to optimize combustion and improve the economy of boiler operation.Based on the testing results,optimized air distribution,balanced oxygen content in furnace outlet and significantly improved local hypoxia problem are achieved through refining the operating mode.Furthermore,the operating mode is fully optimized that provides an effective protection for boiler safe and economic operation.

    Abstract:Based on the accident of fracture of a power plants air compressor journal,the author carried out macroscopic test,mechanics performance test and metallographic structure exam,and indicated that the main reason of fracture is cold crack caused by improper welding technique.The author also claimed that the poor mechanical properties accelerated the extension of the crack,and suggested that to enhance pre installed inspection andavoid repair welding if possible.

    Abstract:After reforming the 2×300 MW coal fired generators in Yunnan Huadian Kunming Power Generation Company Limited,part of the steam in unit primary re heater is extracted for external steam supply.Since the boiler steam production increases by around 40 ton per hour under the same load,the pipe walls of super heater and re-heater are always over temperature.Optimal adjustment measures on denitrification systems,combustion and air distribution are taken so that pipe wall over temperature problem can be controlled effectively.

    Abstract:It is found that titanium is better in mechanical properties by pulse welding method through conducting welding comparative tests on titanium with different parameters.The corrosion resistance of the titanium joints under different pulse welding conditions were compared via the weightlessness experiment.The test result showed that the corrosion resistance of the joints were similar to that of base material.

    Abstract:To lower NOx emission mass concentration,based on the characteristics of tertiary air in the storage pulverizing system with hot air uses as primary air,the author indicated an improvement strategy by separating tertiary air by different concentration,and let denser tertiary air into the middle and bottom of combustor.After comparison of six working conditions by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software,this improvement is effective to lower NOx emission mass concentration and ensure the burn up rate of pulverized coal.
