    Abstract:Based on the Therma South Project in Philippines,this paper analyzed the full voltage start up voltage drop of low voltage squirrel cage induction motor, which is commonly used in engineering procurement construction (EPC) project of coal handling system of power plant. And aiming at the different transformer capacities and power supply distances,this paper obtained the start up data of motors and built the rapid calculation start up data of mainstream motors,which has guiding significance for the motor start up check in project design and has notable effect in engineering practical application.

    Abstract:Ningxia Zaoquan Power Company Limited is a large coal fired power plant with groove bottom drive railway for coal unloading, fully enclosed coal yard with strip type bucket wheel machine, intelligent control system for fuel, curved coal chute, dry fog suppression device, coal yare spray with desulfurization waste water and controllable mechanical soft start device, which is located in alpine region. This paper gives detailed instruction on the design feature of coal handling system, and brings up a few problems that need to pay attention to.

    Abstract:Power supply coal consumption is a total index of generating equipment in thermal power plant and system operation performance, which reflects the overall operation level of power plants.This paper conducted a regression analysis on the large number of historical data of a certain power plant, and discovered that there exists a non linear relationship,which carries an obvious inflection point of coal consumption,between the unit load rate and the power supply coal consumption.After that,the inflection point characteristic of single unit coal consumption was confirmed by experiment. At last,this paper analyzed the influences of turbine heat rate,boiler thermal efficiency,auxiliary power ratio and external factors to the power supply coal consumption, and it provided technical support to thermal power plants to making the maintenance plan,generating capacity schedule and distributing the power load,etc

    Abstract:Taking the steel penstock installation of shaft for the conduit system of Hongping Pumped Storage Power Station as an example, this paper introduced the main measures adopted for the safety of steel penstock installation construction of high shaft, which including the selection and special requirements of transportation and hoisting equipment, the design and calculation of temporary working platform for the installation of steel penstock, the selection of cage and steel wire rope, power demand, and the safety management requirements of important processes.     Abstract:In order to confirm whether the underexcitation limitation protection value coordinates with the field failure protection value, both of the values should be checked for power plant. Due to the principle of underexcitation limitation protection is different from that of field failure protection, the values must be normalized to the same plane to be compared.     Abstract:Based on the condition of a subcritical 600MW selective catalytic reduction (SCR) abnormal large ammonia consumption, denitration system operation difficult, NOx large fluctuation and air preheater blockage and other problems, the author analyzed the outlet  NOxdensity and flow field. By adjusting ammonia injection grid, the unit operation was optimized, density field was almost equally distributed. Testing point deviation was lowered to under 15%. Decreasing of air preheater resistance pressure difference reach to 26.13%.

    Abstract:During photovoltaic power plant design, the position of combiner box is critical. Less cable usage will not only save cost, and will also reduce cable voltage drop loss. Combines with the facts and features of photovoltaic power plant, the mathematic model of combiner box site selection was built bases on Manhattan distance. The objective function was indicated. The most cost efficient point was provided and proved.
