    Coal powder decoupling combustor development

    Abstract:Coal powder burning initial stage low NOx emission principle was analyzed. A kind of direct flow decoupling combustor for low volatile matter was introduced. This combustor applied horizontal multistage staged combustion. Thick side coal powder flow can be separated into thick and thin by powder collector, flame holder and other devices. Heat to flame side ultra thick flow was enhanced. Besides increased the combustion stability, the coal pyrolysis and gasification production was efficiently utilized. Microcosmic air staged combustion was deepened. NOx generation was reduced. Based on the simulation calculation, coldstage and hotstage experiment on 1025t/h boiler decoupling combustor, the design thought of coal powder combustor was proved. 

    Abstract:For live detection and training, State Grid Xinjiang Power Company developed a set of live faultiness simulation device. This device featured with fault discharge along surface and many other common fault model. Based on the electric field distribution while fault discharge along surface, this paper discussed the effect of fault parameter on the electric distribution. Fault discharge along surface minimodel was established. Based on research, if voltage boosted to 5kV, DMS ultrahigh frequency partial discharge meter will capture the partial discharge signal; if voltage boosted to 9kV, test model generated corona and typical partial discharge pattern; there will be continuous breakdown if voltage boosted to 27kV. Approximate range of fault parameter was determined. Partial discharge live detection simulating device well performed in research and training.

    Abstract:In recent years, all countries in the world improve the requirements of power system reliability, which are the power unit should have the fast cut back (FCB) function, and meanwhile it could run reliably in islanded mode and have the capability of grid reconnection. Taking the 622MW power unit of a certain power plant in Vietnam as an example, this paper introduced the optimized control strategies of the turbine speed, turbine bypass and drum water level, analyzed and solved the problems that existed in the FCB process of power unit, which ensured the normal operation and the gridreconnection capability of power unit.

    Abstract:To ensure the safe, stable and economical operation of indirect dry cooling (IDC) power plant, the optimization and design software of indirect dry cooling system is developed through minimum annual total cost method. The programming ideas, configuration and framework, research strategies, implementation steps and calculation methods on hot end, cold end and tower shape optimization software of indirect dry cooling system are introduced. The correctness is validated by real IDC engineering projects.

    Abstract:This paper elaborates design thoughts of low temperature economizer in thermal power plant,analyses merits and demerits of each design thought. Take an example of low temperature economizer located before dust remover in 600MW unit, this paper designs two layout plans for low temperature economizer. By comparison of economic efficiency and combination of growing flexible metal enamel anticorrosion technology, this paper proposed a design scheme which comes with slightly low income but small investment and steel consumption amount.

    Abstract:Compared to initial operation stage, a power plant’s condensation water precision processing high speed mixed bed periodic water production is obviously lower. After analyzed factor could affect water production, authors indicated that the mixed bed exchange terminal control is irrational, mixed bed resin filling reduced, cationanion resin fill proportion is irrational, and other causes. This paper advised to change mixed bed water outlet water quality standard and to adjust resin filling plant. After treatment, even the cationanion resin filling proportion was not adjusted, the periodical water production was increased 30000 tons and above.

    Abstract:Zhejiang Beilun Power Plant unit No.1 was put into operation in 1991. Due to worse coal condition and increasing heat load, pulverizer load was increased accordingly. Which caused reducer overload, gear damage, thrust pad temperature rise and other problems. Thus the power plant planned to extend pulverizer capacity. After disassembled one reducer and analyzed gear damage, parts characteristics was outlined, improvement plan was made. 

    Abstract:For the hydro turbine of Xiaolangdi Hydropower Station, a large amount of fatlute was formed in the operation of cylindrical valve hydraulic system of speed governor, which caused the phenomena of operation delay and jam of control valve group and influenced the safe and stable operation of unit. This paper analyzed the composition of fatlute and its causes, and selected equilibrium charge type oil filter for the online fatlute filtration by comparing two types of electrostatic oil filter, which had good using effect and the jam phenomenon of control valve group did not occur any more.

    Abstract:The bridgetype grab ship unloader initially designed by Fujian Datang International Ningde Power Generation Company Limited can guaranteed that the ship unloader could run under 20m/s wind speed. However, the situation is occasionally 31m/s wind speed, which means the initial design for ship unloader could hide trouble in safety and a modification needs to be done. This paper elaborate that the ship unloader could be modified through wheelpressure, rail clamping or rail brake’s antiwind device, and also gives merits and demerits to these methods. According to the ship itself, this paper suggests to install wheel gripper on the rail clamping device, hence substantially improves safety and reliability.

    Abstract:For the selective noncatalytic reduction (SNCR) flue gas denitrification system of circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler, some problems are existed when it is operating under low load condition, such as low denitration efficiency, high escape rate of ammonia, etc. Combining the engineering practice, this paper analyzed the operating conditions of circulating fluidized bed units that adopting the SNCR denitration technology under different working conditions, and proposed corresponding improvement suggestions for the existed problems in the operation of SNCR denitration system, which provided a basis for the safety, economic and stable operation of power plant.

    Abstract:This paper points out that even if a certain power plant with supercritical unit meets the requirements of NOx emission, the NOx desorption can still be a big problem, which need to be upgraded. According to coal property and power plant’s actual situation, it is suggested to transform the combustor and add selective catalytic reduction system. Mass concentration of NOx emission is below 50mg/m3 after the transformation, which not only meet the requirements of emission standard, but also lower the cost of NOx desorption.
