    Performance optimization of 660MW coal fired power unit with a megaton class post combustion decarburization device

    Abstract:The biggest problem of post combustion decarburization is the efficiency loss of coalfired power unit. This paper conducted an optimization study on the performance of coalfired power unit with a megaton class post combustion decarburization device. Aimed at increasing the power generation efficiency and supply efficiency, this paper proposed an optimized integration scheme of waste heat utilization, which used depth recovered waste heat of flue gas to preheat boiler air, and used waste heat of flue gas and decarburization to heat condensation water. This study found that the power generation efficiency and supply efficiency of unit with a megaton class post combustion decarburization device declined about 1.78% and 2.98% respectively before optimization, and the main reasons were the generating capacity reduction caused by decarburization regeneration steam extraction and the power consumption of decarburization auxiliary engine. After adopting the optimized integration scheme, power generation efficiency and supply efficiency increased about 0.74% and 0.73% respectively. Based on the optimized integration scheme, the ultimate optimized integration scheme, which was added a superheating cooler for decarburization regeneration steam extraction, the power supply efficiency of unit could be further increased about 0.04%.

    Abstract:In order to ensure the ultralow emission of flue gas in coalfired power plant, this paper proposed a technical route of ecofriendly island comprehensive treatment on the basis of considering the current situation of environmentally protective facility from some aspects, such as cooperative governance, application conditions of main equipment and optimization measures, etc. In the ecofriendly island, the facility could realize an intelligent integration control, optimized operation, energysaving and costreducing. At the end, this paper proposed some suggestions for the design of environmentally protective facility of new built or technical improvement units.

    Abstract:For the semi dry flue gas desulfurization system in ultra clean emission engineering, the original bag filter could not satisfy the more strict emission requirement any more, which needs an optimal upgrading. This paper introduced the optimization measures on various aspects, such as the airtocloth ratio of bag filter, updraft velocity, dust cleaning system, filter materials, presettling chamber, airflow distributing system, bypass system, control system, and installation accuracy, etc., which provided a reference for ultraclean emission engineering.

    Abstract:This paper introduced the localization and application of generator excitation system for 9F class gas turbine. The PSVR100 excitation system, which adopted a number of advanced technologies and patents, was designed for the special operation requirements of gas turbine. It could help the frequency conversion starter to complete the startup process of gas turbine. The successful engineering application of 9F class gas turbine showed that the PSVR100 excitation system carried good control performance, and its operation is stable and reliable, which indicated that the localization of this important electric power control equipment was realized.

    Abstract:In order to reduce the measurement and calculation errors that were caused by asynchronous sampling due to grid frequency fluctuation, this paper proposed an improved scheme of traditional discrete Fourier transform (DFT) measuring algorithm. In this improved scheme, an eigenvalue equation was constructed using the recurrence relation of sampling point function, a sampling data window with variable data number was chosen, the period truncation error due to system frequency deviation was reduced, and an improved recursive synchronized phasor measurement method was derived. Compared with the traditional DFT algorithm, the phase angle and amplitude measurement accuracies of the improved algorithm were significantly increased, which were tested under the conditions of fundamental frequency rating offsets were set as constant value, sinusoidal quantity, linear function value and random number, etc. And on this basis, this paper studied the impacts of sampling frequency and sampling strategy on algorithm performance, and the application effect of algorithm on the signal contains harmonic. The test results show that the calculation accuracy and realtime performance of the improved DFT algorithm were significantly increased.

    Abstract:For the problems that existed in the original traveling mechanism design scheme of larger traveler of oneway gantry crane in Shannipo Hydropower Station, such as complicated maintenance and preservation procedures of articulated equipment and easy to rail gnawing of pulleys, etc., this paper proposed a new design scheme. In the new scheme, a new structure design was adopted to instead of articulated equipment while crane was running on the whole arc orbit, the redundant guide pulleys were cancelled and the tread width of pulleys was chosen as sum of standard pulley width and derail size. The finite element analysis showed that the strength and stiffness of gantry girders and legs were both meet requirements. And the gantry crane was in good operation condition after it was put into service.

    Abstract:Rotation angle is very important for pipe precasting and site erection. However, it is difficult to determine the right rotation angle. By analyzing rotation angle hidden in pipe of different structure, the author claimed that the rotation angle is the dihedral angle of pipe section rotated before and after. Two calculation methods were provided. By comparison,CAD based calculation is more accurate than trigonometric function.

    Abstract:A certain professional coal transfer terminal is used to transfer the off shore coal toin land water transportation. Its designed annual throughput is 30millions tons, and its off shore unload capacity and inland water shipment capacity are both 15millions tons. This paper introduced the selection process and methods of its ship unloaders. Under the current design boundary conditions, a reasonable equipment type and its main parameters were confirmed through the comparative study on the structure characteristics of different equipment types, and which provided a reference for other similar projects.

    Abstract:For the particularity of turbine blade test, such as the shape irregularity, test space limitation, low test ratio and few test methods, etc., this paper carried out the eddy current testing experiments using penbased single probe and fingertip single probe. The simulating crack comparison tests showed that both of the two kinds of probes could effectively detect defects, the phasor amplitude sensitivity of easyoperating fingertip single probe is about 50% lower than the penbased single probe, and the detection of edge or lacing hole need to develop a special probe or tooling in order to ensure the smooth moving of probe. Field application indicated that the eddy current testing have certain advantages for the steam turbine blade body and its shroud, which is an effective supplement to conventional detection methods.

    Abstract:For a certain power plant, lowtemperature reheaters of two boilers leak many times and the reheat steam temperature is lower. This paper introduces the problems, comprehensively analyzes their reasons, and proposes solving idea and concrete method, that is, to reduce the number of tubes of lowtemperature reheater and enlarge the flow sectional area of flue gas while keeping the designed flue gas distribution value between sides of lowtemperature reheater and lowtemperature super heater constant in order to decrease flue gas velocity and reduce wearing. In addition, through expanding the heating surface to enlarge the heat exchange area of lowtemperature reheater, it could reduce the wearing and increase the reheat steam temperature of lowtemperature reheater.

    Abstract:Lignite has the characteristics of high moisture and low heat value, thus it could improve the quality of lignite through predrying treatment, and then improve the thermal efficiency of boiler and reduce the coal consumption of power generation. Taking a certain lignitefired 600MW super critical direct aircooled generating unit as an example, this paper built a thermoeconomic analysis model for steam extraction predried lignitefired power system. Under the condition of fixed main steam flow, when the moisture(as received basis) of lignite decreased from 38.4% to 15.0%, the thermal efficiency of boiler increased from 91.5% to 92.9%, which saved wet lignite 22g/(kW·h).

    Abstract:In engineering practice, the allposition one side welding without liner of steel penstock has a serious quality problem. Through improvements and tests, this paper proposed a one side butt welding procedure of combinatorial steel liners, which could ensure the welding quality easily and does not need high skill levels of workers. After the new welding procedure was put into effect, its welding qualification rate is up to 98% through nondestructive testing.

    Abstract:The scheme of heating condensation water using waste heat of flue gas could reduce coal consumption and increase generating efficiency of power plant. In order to get the best scheme of this waste heat utilization form, this paper studied the influences of temperature and flow rate of condensation water that entering waste heat utilization exchanger on the unit power increase, and made a contrastive analysis of four different transformation schemes for a certain coalfired power unit. It was pointed out that the best scheme should take full advantage of waste heat under the allowed temperature drop of flue gas, properly adjust the temperature and flow rate of condensation water, and save the high quality extraction steam as much as possible. For the best scheme, the optimal temperature and flow rate of condensation water could be obtained through calculation. The study method in this paper could provide guidance for future engineering optimization design of waste heat utilization of flue gas.

    Abstract:Based on the incident of a newly built power plant site fieldbus equipment segment failure caused desulfurizer absorption tower liquid level meter transmitter missend low level signal, and result main fuel trip (MFT) and unit trip, site fieldbus control system (FCS) logical configuration, fieldbus equipment segment design and equipment installation was tested and analyzed, and main caused was found.     Abstract:Based on the characteristics of solar parabolic trough thermal power generation technology, this paper introduced this technology with a molten salt thermal storage system on it. And it was considered that collector area and thermal storage time are the key influence factors to the economy of solar parabolic trough thermal power generation.
